The Caitian hello

Mission: Getting underway
Location: Earth Spacedock
Timeline: Sometime

Aina looks dreamy to the ship. Her second chance and it looked grand. She leaned forward almost with her face against the class. She softly purred as the tip of her tail softly danced around. It was also going to be her new home and she wasn't sure what was going to happen once she stepped foot on that ship.

A caitian commander happened to look at the same ship, in awe. It was much smaller than he was used to. But it was his. A thought that filled him with pride. He couldn't help but notice the officer on his right purring. "I know the feeling." he said.

Aina turned around and looked to the full grown male Caitian commander standing next to her, also watching amazed at the ship. She bowed. "Captain," she said, "I hadn't seen you there. Lieutenant Kasumi Aina, sir. Your chief tactical officer." She introduced herself politely.

"A great pleasure." The Commander said. "S'relli, formerly of the USS Yukon." He said.

She nodded and said, "Yes, I know, I read your file on the way here. Thank you for you this opportunity to serve with you." She smiled.

"Glad to have you" the Caitian replied.

Aina smiled. "So anything official I need to do here, sir, before I commence my duty?" She held her head low and wiggled her ears a little.

S'relli let out a purring laugh. His tail bobbed a little. "Not here I'd say. But when we get there, naturally."

"No, sir, what I meant is...I..." She didn't know what to say. She wasn't sure why she was acting out this way. They were star fleet officers, not part of the Caitian elite. She put her head up and said, more to herself, "Alright, kiddo head in the game." She then looked to S'relli. "I am sorry, sir, I spend some time on Cait, before I joined starfleet. I guess I didn't expect to be commanded by a Caitian captain." She smiled as she nervously scratched behind her right ear. "Or meet him so soon."

"Not to worry." S'relli said. "I come from tactical, so I only "bare my teeth" at enemies, or like situations. Other than that, I'm a pretty chill guy."

"Oh," she sighed in relief. "Sore wa yokatta, that is good to hear." She moved her tail a bit nervously. "So, would you like a drink with me, sir. You know, since we're pretty much docked here and I don't know anybody else yet. And you were in tactical, maybe you could give me some tips?"

"That sounds great, actually"

"So know a good places here, sir?" She asked as she looked around. "It's been a while since I was on Earth. I don't really know the good places. Unless you would like to go down to Earth for some sushi?" She grinned as her tail moved side to side as she kept it down.

"That sounds great actually. Shall we?" He said, gesturing to the door.
